Blackpool 2009

In Blackpool every year for the last 57 years Blackpool has bean home for the LARGEST MAGIC CONVENTION in the world and has bean held at Blackpool

in February every year at the magnificent Opera House and Winter Gardens in Blackpool, Lancashire, England.
 

 

Convention Dates were:

  Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, 2009  

The Convention featured over 100 Magic Dealers from all over the world, the British Magical Championships for Close-Up Magic, the United Kingdom Children's Entertainer of the Year Competition, Lectures, the British Magical Stage Championships and an International Gala Show.

There are several changes from last year's programme:
1.  The Dealers Fair will stay open until 10:00 pm instead of 9:00 pm
2. A Junior British Magical Close Up Championship is being presented for the first time
3. The 11:30 pm Lecture has been discontinued
4.  A Melange of Master Mentalists is being presented for the first time

7:00 pm   THE MASTER MAGICIAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
In the Opera House.  A NEW EVENT*

*Five performers will present a 12 minute close-up Act on stage with Giant Screen TV showing everything.  After an interval the same 5 performers will present a 12 minute Stage Act.  The points for both acts will be added together and the performers with the highest points total will become toe World Champion Master Magician and receive a prize of $10 000 US dollars.  Compered by Tony Stevens.
